El síndrome metabólico ¿Cómo abordar el problema?
Resumen
El síndrome metabólico es una entidad clínica cuya prevalencia mundial se incrementa año tras año, lo que lo convierte en un serio problema de salud pública. Se considera que este aumento se debe, por un lado, al estilo de vida sedentario, y por el otro, a la obesidad, por lo que se asocia con un incremento del riesgo de padecer enfermedad cardiovascular y diabetes tipo II.
